Procurement Buying Chicken through Crown Commercial Service

How public sector organisations can buy Chicken services through G-Cloud 14 and DOS7.

If you’ve noticed the Crown Commercial Service badge in our footer and wondered what it means, this is the simple explanation.

Chicken Digital is an approved supplier on UK government procurement frameworks. That means public sector organisations can buy our services through a recognised, compliant route, without running a full tender process.

We are currently listed on:

  • G-Cloud 14
  • Digital Outcomes and Specialists 7 (launching in Summer 2026)

What this actually means

Frameworks can sound bureaucratic. In practice, they’re designed to make procurement easier.

Being on G-Cloud and DOS means:

  • We’ve passed due diligence checks on financial standing and policies
  • Our service definitions and pricing are published transparently
  • Procurement teams already recognise the framework
  • In many cases, work can be awarded directly

For councils and other public bodies, that can reduce procurement timelines significantly.

How to buy our services

All of our core services are published on the Digital Marketplace, including:

  • LocalGov Drupal development
  • Support and security updates
  • Core enhancements and working groups
  • Drupal training
  • Flying Solo setup packages

You can explore full service definitions and pricing on our Services page.

If you’re unsure which framework is appropriate for your project, we’re happy to talk it through.

Why we use frameworks

We work almost exclusively with the public sector. Frameworks provide:

  • Transparency
  • Auditability
  • Simpler contracting
  • Faster routes to delivery

They also mean you don’t have to “take a risk” on a small specialist supplier — the groundwork has already been done.
